# Gauge.S editor changelog

Features, fixes and everyday improvements for the V6 and V5 design editors.
Updates are listed by date, including changes that share the same preview version.

## 11 October 2026 — A shared sorek identity

- Matching gold and violet colours across the shop, community portal and editors.
- Original sorek logo, Visitor headings and clearer Archivo interface text.
- The matching fonts and logo remain available offline after loading the editor.

## 8 October 2026 — Friendlier defaults and guides

- New text elements refresh at a calm 7 Hz instead of every frame, saving device resources; raise the rate for fast counters.
- Smoothing now starts at a balanced 5 for new needles, arcs, bars, texts and other animated elements.
- Adding an image focuses the asset picker immediately, centres the new image, and warns before saving one without an asset.
- Fixed new images added from the asset panel appearing off-screen.
- The editor shows a clear refresh message instead of silently using an outdated offline element reference.
- Clearer help for update rates, easing curves and clamping, with corrected defaults for arcs and needles.
- New design best-practice tips and corrections in the built-in guides, including reusable looks through customs presets.

## 6 October 2026 — Reusable modules

- Import, edit and export complete module packages from File → Modules in the V6 editor.
- Configure inputs, settings and appearance, with a live-value parameter picker and rendered style previews.
- Design reusable views for warnings, lap timing, Performance results and shift-light indicators.
- Browse saved runs and lap sessions, create or import tracks, and analyse driving logs into saved history.
- Find offline user and author guides alongside the module controls.
- Shift-light previews now include adjustable geometry, whole-segment smoothing and flash modes.

## 2 October 2026 — What's new at a glance

- Select the version in the V6 editor, or What's new in the V5 editor, to read the release history without leaving your design.
